Advanced genetics and biotechnology are reshaping how societies understand health, agriculture, and even cultural knowledge. For the Jopadhola community of Eastern Uganda, these scientific fields provide not only opportunities for progress but also challenges in balancing tradition with modern science. By exploring how genes function, how they can be modified, and how biotechnology can be applied, we begin to see how Jopadhola knowledge systems and practices can connect with the global scientific frontier.
